Krystin was born with horses in her back yard and has been a life long equestrian. She grew up eventing and managing barns. In high school she became interested in Equine dentistry as a carrier but ran into conflicting information on how the achieve this goal. So she chose to attend the dental assisting program offered in High school. This lead to a 13yr carrier, as an certified dental assistant and kick started her knowledge of dentitition and the TMJ. Eventually she was able to apply this kowledge to the horse, when she found a dental school, with a paradigm she believed in.
It was in 2004 when Krystin started pursuing her path in Equine dentistry and became certified as a Natural Balance Dentist in 2006. She held her certification in Natural Balance Equine dentistry until 2011. It was then when she had to make the hard decision to attend a state approved continuing education program, to maintain her Virginia and Texas equine dental licenses. However, she still follows the basic paradigm of the natural balance dentist.
